Persona 3 Reload Sales Pass 1 Million In First Week Of Launch

Looks like plenty of players have pointed an Evoker to their head in the game called Persona 3 Reload. Atlus has announced the remake to Persona 3 has sold over 1 million copies within the first week of launch.

This makes P3 Reload the fastest selling game published by Atlus in history.

This is right of the heels of Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, published by Sega, reaching a similar milestone the week before. Atlus is a Sega subsidiary, so Sega technically released two big JRPGs, back-to-back, each already passing 1 million copies sold.

It’s also noted that Persona 3 Reload launched on Game Pass day-1.

Still, this shows that there is a big demand for RPGs with this specific style where we immerse in a more-or-less linear story, make bonds with party members and engage in turn-based combat. Even in 2024.

Persona 3 Reload follows the adventure of the protagonist, a new student at Gekkoukan High School. Him and his friends at the extracurricular club of S.E.E.S. discovers the Dark Hour and must investigate this strange phenomenon by balancing school life and dungeon crawling.

In Southeast Asia, a mishap as happened as some players purchased a physical copy of the English version of the game only to found the disc included does not contain the English version. Atlus has since responded and are offering replacements for those affected.

Persona 3 Reload is out now on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
