Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Release Date Moved To June 14

What do you call a reverse delay? Sega and Atlus have made the brilliant call in moving the release date of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance from June 21 to June 14. That’s one week earlier than the original release date.

Due to this change, if you pre-ordered the game digitally on the Nintendo e-Shop or My Nintendo Store, your pre-order will be automatically cancelled. But you can place your pre-order on either store again.

On Steam, there’s nothing to worry about, your pre-order requires no change and you can expect to get the game on the new, earlier release date.

While there is no specific reason given for this reverse delay, it’s likely that the game is moving away for what will be a day dominated by gamers buying, playing and talking about the upcoming Elden Ring DLC.

At least one other game have made a similar move of vacating their June 21 release date.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is a new version of the 2021 Switch-exclusive RPG. Vengeance goes multi-platform and adds a whole new route adding a whole new 80-hour playthrough.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is now releasing on June 14 for the PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
