Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster was announced last month and one glaring omission was spotted for fans outside Japan that played the original: where was Dante From The Devil May Cry Series?
Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne in the west was based on Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniax, which had Dante. The remaster is based on a newer version, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniax Chronicle Edition, which replaces Dante’s guest appearance with Raidou from the Devil Summoner series.
Thankfully, a new trailer showed by Atlus for Japan revealed that Dante is returning after all. But as DLC.
Dante, in his Devil May Cry 2 outfit, has a unique story arc and then becomes a party member in Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne. The trailer shows the most important part is intact- your protagonist Demi-Fiend being chased by Dante while he’s shooting you.
No mention of the DLC coming for the western release of Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster so far. But given the Japanese release is October, and the English release will be in Spring 2021, there’s still more time to wait for the official reveal in English.
Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster will be available on PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Spring 2021 in English.
