NetEase Games and Grasshopper Manufacture have announced the release date for the remaster of Shadows Of The Damned.
Shadows Of The Damned: Hella Remastered, as it’s called, will be out this October, with preorders on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles now live.
Shadows Of The Damned: Hella Remastered will include New Game+ at launch alongside support for 4K/60 FPS on PlayStation and Xbox. The Switch version is capped at 30 FPS.
Shadows Of The Damned is a third-person shooter originally released in 2011 for PS3 and Xbox 360, with Suda51 and Shinji Mikami involved in its creation. The “eccentric Hell + Rock & Roll” themed action-adventure stars Garcia Hotspur, a demon hunter looking to escape hell and take out demons. He’s accompanied by the talking skull Johnson.
Expect a lot of the design trends of the 7th-gen console shooter to be present here in Shadows Of The Damned: Hella Remastered. Banter with a companion, over-the-shoulder camera, and a very specific colour palate, but with that tinge of Suda51’s style.
Shadows Of The Damned: Hella Remastered releases on October 31, this Halloween, on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
