Sci-Fi Tactical Strategy Game Cantata Out Now In Early Access

Cantata, the sci-fi tactical strategy game published by Modern Wolf and the debut title for developer Afterschool Studio, is now out on Steam Early Access.

The Early Access launch includes the first three chapters of a “character-driven narrative”, each focusing on the three playable factions: Humans, Machines and Aliens.

What sets Cantata apart from other turn-based strategy games, other than the gorgeous hand-drawn and sprite art used, is the base building system. You’ll need to set up supply lines to ensure you can the resources to build more complex units. And these supply lines can be disrupted, an aspect that needs to be considered when defending, or attacking the other enemy factions.

Also, the planet fights back as well. The planet also takes a turn during gameplay to also be part of the war.

Cantata is now available on Steam as an Early Access title for RM44, with a 35% off promo that will end on May 20.

This coincides with the Modern Wolf publisher sale happening on Steam featuring many of the indie publisher’s strategy titles, which will run until May 16.
