Samsung Galaxy A56 5G, A36 5G and A26 5G Arriving In Malaysia Next Week

Samsung has announced that this 2025’s refresh for the Galaxy A series smartphone will be available in Malaysia starting March 18, next week.

The Galaxy A series, the affordable sub-RM2000 devices, comes in three flavours at three different price points: the Samsung Galaxy A26 5G, the Galaxy A36 5G, and the Galaxy A56 5G.

Per Samsung Malaysia’s press release, each of these phones come with a 5000mAh battery for long gaming sessions as well as other entertainment, productivity and communication uses.

The Galaxy A36 5G in particular is being marketed for gamers. It’s the only one of the three to tout a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset (the others uses Samsung’s in-house Exynos chips), with an upgraded Super Fast Charge 2.0 going up from 25W to 45W compared to the previous A35 5G, and a bigger vapour chamber.

The Galaxy A56 5G has more capable specs, though it’s main selling point is its better camera. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A26 5G is the new entry-point Galaxy A smartphone good enough for entertainment uses with its large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen.

Though only the higher-end A36 and A56 has the current smartphone trend of a punch hole for the camera on the display, the A26 still has some that good-old notch.

Samsung promises up to six generations of OS and security updates for the Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G, and Galaxy A26 5G, with the Samsung’s One UI 7.0. All three phones also has IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.
