Riot Forge is the new publishing arm where Riot Games work with other developers for new games based on Riot’s IP. The first game to be published by Riot Forge is Ruined King: A League of Legends Story.
As the name implies, it sets in the world of Runeterra and features familiar champions seen in the original MOBA game. Developed by Airship Syndicate (Battlechasers: Nightwar, Darksiders Genesis), it will be a single-player turn-based RPG.
Players will be exploring the port town of Bligewater and the Shadow Isles, banding together an unlikely party of League Of Legends champions: Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri, and Pyke. The six champions are playable and make an appearance in this new cinematic trailer:
Ruined King: A League of Legends Story will be available on PS4, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Nintendo Switch sometime in early 2021. It will also be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a free next-gen upgrade if you bought on PS4 and Xbox One respectively.
