Gran Turismo Sport is likely to not get updates now that we know Polyphony Digital is working on Gran Turismo 7. But that doesn’t mean there’s no reason to hop back in.
Starting today, there’s a new event in the racing sim. The Red Bull Beat The Pro online event has you try your best to beat the times of the F1 drivers from Red Bull Racing. Think you’re as fast as Max Verstappen and Alex Albon in a Super Formula car at Suzuka? Now’s your chance to try beat their lap times.
In addition, Red Bull junior Yuki Tsunoda, currently racing in Formula 2, will also have his time available in the event, which you can try beat as well.
The event is created as a response to the cancelled Japanese Grand Prix. An annual staple since 1987, the current pandemic forced the F1 racing calendar to be reshuffled, with the current season only running in Europe and the Middle East.
