Quake Gets Free Next-Gen Upgrade On Consoles Adding 4K 120fps Support

Quake, the original 3D FPS by id Software recently got a remaster for PC, and was also released on consoles. And for owners of PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, you’re getting a free next-gen upgrade.

The upgrade for next-gen consoles adds support for 4K resolution as well as 120fps. The PC version can already do this, but it’s good that next-gen consoles that definitely have the power to run Quake at this high of a spec are now able to do so.

For Xbox Series X|S, Quake also adds Xbox Play Anywhere support, and for PS5, there’s support for the DualSense adaptive triggers.

The Quake remaster is now available on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
