PS5-Exclusive Returnal Delayed To April 30

Sony has announced that PS5-exclusive shooter Returnal will not be released on March 19. It has been delayed to April 30.

“SIE and Housemarque have made the decision to move the release date in order to give the team extra time to continue to polish the game to the level of quality players expect from Housemarque,” the tweet of the announcement reads.

Returnal will be Housemarque’s latest shooter, but not a straight-up pure arcade shooter like before. There’s an intriguing plot about protagonist Selene landing on the alien planet Atropos. And there’s roguelike mechanics at play.

For the lucky folks to have owned the scarcely available next-gen console, it will be another month of wait for the next exclusive game. At least there is an exclusive game in February in the form of Destruction AllStars.
