Access Controller For PS5 Launches This December, Priced At RM449 In Malaysia

The Access Controller for PS5, the customisable designed to enable players with disabilities to play games comfortably in their own way, will be available globally this December.

Availability includes Southeast Asia where it will be launching in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.

In Malaysia, the Access Controller for PS5 retails at RM449.

The Access controller includes 19 swappable button caps, one analog stick with an adjustable stick arm and swappable stick caps (3 are included), 4 expansion ports in the form of 3.5 mm AUX ports, 23 swappable button cap tags and a USB Type-C to Type-C cable.

The Access Controller for PS5 will be open for pre-order in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam on July 21. For Singapore, pre-orders will be open at a later date.

Announced initially as Project Leonardo, PlayStation has been working with accessibility experts and organisations that include AbleGamers, SpecialEffect and Stack Up to ensure the controller meets the needs of gamers who require a controller that better suits their needs. This may not be a product everyone should buy, but it is one that should exist and it’s good to see PlayStation following Xbox’s move to enable more gamers to game.
