You’ve seen games offering free weekends, but what about free weekdays? EA is offering DICE’s latest FPS Battlefield 2042 free on Steam from today until March 17. Yeah, the offer ends when the weekend hits. EA calls this offer “Steam Free Access”.
Battlefield 2042 recently launched Season 4: Eleventh Hour, which adds not only new maps but a return to the Class system. You can play Assault, Recon, Support or Engineer- the Battlefield staples- instead of pre-defined characters which fans were not a fan of.
In addition, the new season has weapon improvements, balancing, audio/visual enhancements and a rework of the Breakaway map.
The Steam user review score for Battlefield 2042 sits at “Mostly Negative” right now. Battlefield 2042 was laden with issues at launch, and its gameplay design didn’t live up fan expectations.
But with this play-for-free-for-a-limited-time deal, now you can see for yourself if the game is in a good place or not after seasons of updates. If you want to keep playing, the Steam version of the game is 70% off- dropping down to as low as RM59.70.
