Frontier’s zoo builder and animal management sim Planet Zoo has a new DLC released today.
The Wetlands Animal Pack adds 8 new species (7 habitat animals, 1 exhibit animal) and a new timed scenario for those that purchase the DLC.
Headlining the new animals in the Wetlands Animal Pack is the fan-requested Capybara. Here’s the full list of animals in the Wetlands Animal Pack DLC:

- Platypus
- Asian Small-Clawed Otter
- Spectacled Caiman
- Wild Water Buffalo
- Red-Crowned Crane
- Nile Lechwe
- Danube Crested Newt (exhibit animal)
The Timed Scenario will have you going to the Pantanal in Brazil. Here, your task is to rescue and take care of animals unfit to return to the wild. Space is limited as you’re building a zoo in the wetlands as well.
The Planet Zoo base game is also getting Update 1.9 alongside the DLC release. Educators can roam around the zoo rather than just at the Animal Talk point they are assigned to. And you can now roam your created zoo from the point-of-view of a guest with the new Explore Camera Mode.
