Outriders Delayed To April 1, Will Have A Playable Demo In February

Outriders, the looter-shooter from the makers of Bulletstorm, is getting another delay.

Developers People Can Fly announced that it won’t be able to release this February, and delaying to April 1- not an April Fools’ joke. “We will spend this extra time tuning the game and focusing on delivering a fantastic play experience at launch,” the statement posted on their official Twitter reads.

Outriders was previously delayed to February from the initial Holiday 2020 release window, citing the need to add cross-play right at launch.

Good news is, we still be able to sample Outriders in the form of a free demo, to be released on February 25.

Outriders plays like a cover-shooter (like The Division) but with more over-the-top abilities (like Destiny in some ways) surrounded with the usual elements seen in a looter-shooter. Hopefully the delay can make it fare better than Square Enix’s other service-based loot game, Marvel’s Avengers.
