One Piece Fans, Set Sail For The Great Pirate Adventure Event At Resorts World Genting This April

Ahoy! The folks at AniManGaki are hosting its first event outside of Klang Valley, The Great Pirate Adventure.

Set to be held at Times Square, SkyAvenue, Resorts World Genting from April 1-2, The Great Pirate Adventure is sponsored by Komaci and is part of the One Piece “The Great Era of Piracy” Asia Tour Exhibition.

The main attraction here is said exhibition. It’s the biggest of its kind in Malaysia with taking 21,000 sqft in size covering the Pavilion Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park in Resorts World Genting.

The exhibit features 1:1 life-sized statues of the Straw Hat Pirates as featured in the One Piece manga and anime series (as well as the RPG One Piece Odyssey, our review here), taking you through various set-pieces and locales from the ongoing pirate epic. You get to see the ship, The Grand Line and the spot of the most harrowing battles the pirates have faced that is Marineford, among others.

The One Piece “The Great Era of Piracy” Asia Tour Exhibition is ticketed, with the pricing as follows:

  • Malaysian Adult: RM90
  • Foreigner Adult: RM110
  • Senior (above 60)/Student (below 18)/Child: RM50
  • Infants (below 3): Free

Tickets can be purchased online here.

The Great Pirate Adventure event itself, however, is free entry.

Visitors can join various One Piece-themed activities including cosplay performances, special guests panel, trivia and games for a chance to earn One Piece merch and more.

The following are the Special Guests that will make an appearance at The Great Pirate Adventure. They are available for meet & greet and at select hours of the day, will join fans to tour the One Piece Asia Tour Exhibition.

The following are the stage performers for the duration of The Great Pirate Adventure:

  • Zero Music
  • The Crestfall Shuffle
  • Project Coser
  • Binyun
  • Stroberitea feat. Myra

It’s interesting to see AniManGaki doing another pirate-themed event, last year’s AniManGaki has a nautical theme as well. For those who believe that the One Piece is real and can make it all the way up there to Genting, be sure to stop by the event.
