Diablo IV is getting its big open beta later this month as remains on track for its release in June. But if you’re holding out to get the latest entry to Blizzard’s ARPG on Game Pass, don’t hold your breath.
Blizzard exec Rod Fergusson, who oversees the Diablo franchise at the company, has issued a statement regarding this matter.
“We’ve been getting some questions about [Diablo IV] on Game Pass and I want to let you know we have no plans for that,” he tweeted.
Activision Blizzard is in the process of being acquired by Microsoft, which in turn should see most of their games coming to Game Pass like how Bethesda has now.
However, the process is still ongoing- and so as of right now ActiBlizz remains operating normally. And normally, Blizzard doesn’t put their games on Game Pass.
For now, if you’re looking to try out Diablo IV without committing to a purchase yet, the Open Beta will take place on March 24-26 on PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. On consoles, the beta also supports local co-op for two players.
Diablo IV is set for release on June 6 for the PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
