New details emerged of Diablo IV’s upcoming open beta and its early access beta in the latest developer livestream.
One of the new things revealed is couch co-op, or local multiplayer, on consoles. You and one other player (who has a PS/Xbox account linked to a Battle.net account) can jump in at any time and slay together. The game supports 4-player co-op online.
It’s cool to see local multiplayer is getting support in new games coming in 2023. Another game having this is Baldur’s Gate III.
Also, for PC players, the minimum and recommended PC specs for the beta has been revealed. Thankfully, it’s not too taxing like other recent releases (the game still running on last-gen consoles may have helped that). And should your PC hardware is below minimum specs, like not installing on an SSD, the game can still be played but don’t expect any good performance.
