A new trailer for Sega’s upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble has dropped, showcasing its multiplayer feautres.
The game about rolling balls where a monkey is inside will support 4-player local multiplayer and 16-player online multiplayer.
Battle Mode, the mode with 16-player online multiplayer, will see you compete in various mini-games. From collecting the most bananas under a time limit to the straightforward race to the finish line.
Adventure mode, the core game mode with up 200 stages, can be played with three other friends in local multiplayer.
The trailer also showed a few of the many costumes you can dress your monkey characters in.
In addition, Sega also revealed that there will be assist features to help players unfamiliar with the Monkey Ball series to get up to speed. And it’s also useful for seasoned players looking to improve their game, as moving a platform to roll a monkey ball is harder than how it looks like. The assist features includes the following:
- Rewind: Allows you to rewind to a previous point of a stage and attempt a tricky area once more.
- Ghost Guide: Adds a transparent racer alongside the player, demonstrating the key methods needed to reach the goal.
- Route Guide: Points you in the right direction if you’re not sure where to go.
- Checkpoints: Allows you to restart from a certain point within a stage.
Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble launches on June 25 for the Nintendo Switch.
