Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble Announced, Releasing This June

Super Monkey Ball fans gets a new treat at the February 2024 Nintendo Direct Partners Showcase, as Sega reveals a new Super Monkey Ball game.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble features 16-player online multiplayer modes and 200 fresh new stages in the Adventure Mode.

The big selling point of Banana Rumble is multiplayer, both online and local. The online multiplayer modes includes Race (fastest to reach the goal wins), Banana hunt (collect the most bananas before timer runs out) and Robot Smash (smash big robots by rolling to them).

But for those who prefer the traditional Super Monkey Ball experience, the Adventure mode is girthy with content. And in Banana Rumble you can experience Adventure mode with friends as well. Adventure Mode supports 4-player multiplayer, online and couch co-op (split-screen).

Banana Rumble also introduces a new move to the series, Spin Dash. Looks like AiAi and pals took notes from Sonic, as the monkeys in the ball can get a big boost of acceleration when performing this move. Especially useful in Battle Mode where Spin Dashes can knock other players out-of-bounds if used correctly.

As for characters, AiAi is joined by MeeMee, Baby, GonGon, YanYan, Doctor and new character Palette. Each of them can be cosmetically customised with over 300 Customisation Parts.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble rolls into release on June 25 only on Nintendo Switch.
