A new driver for Nvidia GeForce graphics cards is now available for download. Driver version 511.23 brings in support for God Of War (2018) which is out now on PC, alongside the new Nvidia DLDSR (Deep Learning Dynamic Super Resolution).
For God Of War, there is support for Nvidia Reflex, which reduces system latency by up to 22%, Nvidia claims. This means controls are snappier and more responsive (making those dodges and hit combos land in tighter timing windows), something you will need across Kratos and his boy’s road trip adventure through the nine realms.
In addition, Nvidia DLSS support is also available for God Of War, which when run in Performance Mode, can get an RTX 3060 Ti GPU pushing above 60fps on average on UIltra Settings at 4K resolution, thanks to the power of AI upscaling.
Nvidia DLDSR is a new feature that instead of upscaling games to higher resolutions, it is used to render a game at a higher resolution, then downscale it to the target resolution. Normal DSR is used mainly on older titles where you have extra GPU headroom, and to maximise visual quality on 1080p or 1440p displays.
Nvidia DLDSR uses AI, similar to DLSS, to reduce performance costs to this rendering method, which should result in clearer visuals at a higher fps count.

Nvidia DLDSR works across most games, though you have to enable it in the Nvidia Control Panel options (it’s in “Manage 3D Settings” tab, under the “DSR- Factors” checkbox).
Nvidia GeForce Ready driver 511.23, which will also include optimisations for Rainbow Six Extraction, Hitman III, The Anacrusis, GRIT and Monster Hunter Rise, can be downloaded here or through the Nvidia GeForce Experience app.
