Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the team known for the Yakuza series, will be releasing the sequel to the spin-off game Judgment.
Titled Lost Judgment, private detective Takayuki Yagami is back again to investigate a case, which leads to a rabbit hole of the underground criminal world as well as exposing the flaws of the legal system.
Lost Judgment is s serious crime drama in some ways, as you will be conducting various investigations. The new trailer from the July 2021 State Of Play broadcast shows more of Yagami’s agility as he jumps and climbs buildings like no other Yakuza game protagonist could, not counting cutscenes.
There will be battle encounters, which will play like the usual beat-’em-up/character action fights, where Yagami fights with three switchable stances- the Snake stance is new to Lost Judgment.
While the main plot can get gruesome with more than one instance of a decaying dead body infested with flies being seen, you can also take a step back and enjoy the high-school life with wacky mini-games. Yagami can pull sick flip tricks on the skateboard, participate in robot combat and even join in a dance number because why not.
(The real reason is he’s also going undercover in a high school.)

Lost Judgment will be the first game by RGG Studios to have a simultaneous launch worldwide. The game will be out on September 21 on PS4 and PS5 as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
