It’s a little crazy to have opened registration for a closed network test and only reveal a trailer of what to expect a good number of weeks later, but that’s precisely what Sega has did with Crazy Taxi: World Tour.
At Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026, a new trailer for Crazy Taxi: World Tour has dropped to promote the upcoming closed network test. This new entry to the series will feature online multiplayer, in case you missed it.
The new trailer should also tug the emotions of longtime fans. Axel is joined by B.D. Joe, Gena and Gus, the OG selectable drivers in the original Crazy Taxi. The music is another blast of the past, it’s Ten in 2010 by Bad Religion.
The short one-minute trailer gives a glimpse of the six-player multiplayer will look like which one can experience by participating in the Closed Network Test. There’s also a tease of a new night-time map.

Licensed Songs From Original Crazy Taxi Soundtrack To Return In Crazy Taxi: World Tour Closed Network Test
On a separate note, Sega has confirmed through a social post that the five licensed songs that will be available in Crazy Taxi: World Tour’s closed network test. These songs all appeared in the original release of Crazy Taxi in the arcades and sixth-generation console ports (PS2, Dreamcast, Gamecube). The original game had a total of seven licensed songs from punk bands The Offspring and Bad Religion.

Crazy Taxi: World Tour is set to release sometime in 2027 for the PS5, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
