New Among Us Update Adds More Voting And Task Bar Options, Roadmap Of Future Updates Detailed

September 2020’s hit game of the month Among Us has received a small new update. The update adds a few more game options to spice up your werewolf game in space.

The addition of anonymous voting (all the votes appear grey) and the ability to have the task bar update at meetings (or disable it completely) are among the things aside from the usual bug fixes. Full patch notes are as follows:

Added Anonymous Voting option

  • All votes appear as grey

-Added Task Bar Modes

  • Always mode works like normal
  • Meeting mode only updates the bar during meetings
  • Invisible mode removes the task bar entirely

-MIRA: Comms sabotage clears the security logs

Added symbols to fix wires task

Added cosmetics to meeting screen

Various bug fixes

In addition, developers Innersloth have shared a short roadmap of what to expect in future updates. A proper account system will be coming by December- though expect it to be “a bit barebones at first but things like friendslists will also come at a later date after launch.” A new map is coming and not only it’s bigger than Polus (the one with the lava pit), it’s also themed on indie game series Henry Stickmin. The map, which will include new tasks, will be free.

Expect to see the game localised into more languages, and there will be colourblind support. The new update adds symbols to the wire tasks which should help colourblind folks, but a proper filter will be coming soon.

Among Us is out now on PC (Steam) and mobile.
