In the market for a gaming monitor that isn’t going to cost thousands of Ringgit? Acer has now made available two new gaming monitors in the affordable Acer Nitro range in Malaysia.
The Acer Nitro KG3 gaming monitors come in two variants of two screen sizes: a standard 23.8-inch (KG243YU P1) and the really-big-for-desktop-but-smaller-than-a-TV 27-inch (KG273U P1). Both Nitro KG3 monitors have IPS panels that are of 1440p (WQHD) resolution at 144Hz refresh rate (with AMD FreeSync), with HDR10 support.
Connectivity-wise, the Acer Nitro KG3 monitors have 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, 1 DisplayPort 1.4 port plus a built-in dual 1W speakers.
The monitor comes with a tilt-adjustable stand (-2° to 13°) and of course, is compatible with 75mm VESA wall-mount should you prefer to use a custom stand or mounting.
The smaller KG243YU P1 monitor retails at RM479 and the larger KG273U P1 is at RM549, which is a pretty good deal for IPS displays. For comparison, an also-decent gaming monitor from the Acer Predator line, the Predator XB273UV3, is priced at RM899 for comparison with a few improved specs (AMD FreeSync Premium, HDR400, 4W speakers).
Purchase of the Acer Nitro KG3 comes with a three-year Pickup & Return warranty. Purchase of either of the gaming monitors before April 14 will include a complementary Acer wireless mouse as part of a limited-time promotion.
Acer Malaysia also announced the release of two Predator gaming monitors with OLED panels.
