Monster Hunter Rise PC Release Coming January 13, 2022

Capcom finally revealed when PC players can get their hands on Monster Hunter Rise, the latest game released exclusively on Switch earlier this year.

The PC version, coming to Steam, will include various graphical options, including the option to play in 4K, bindable keyboard and mouse controls, voice chat, and support for 21:9 ultrawide displays.

The PC release will also include all of the free DLCs from the Switch release up to the end of November. So new monsters and features from post-launch updates will be included.

In addition, there will be a trial version (demo) available starting October 14. The demo contains basic training, 5 quests, 14 weapon types to use and also supports 4-player multiplayer.

Here are the minimum specs (1080p/30fps) to run Monster Hunter Rise on PC:

  • CPU: Intel Core i3-4130/ Intel Core i5-3470/ AMD FX-6100
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 1030 (DDR4)/ AMD Radeon RX 550
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Storage: 23GB
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit

The specs are relatively low, so any decent enough PC should be able to run. However, Capcom is also looking into improving performance when players on notebooks under the Intel Evo platform (with Intel Iris XE graphics).

If you’ve played the JRPG spin-off Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings Of Ruin on PC already, you’ll also get a bonus Rider layered Armour.

Now that we got a release date for MonHun Rise on PC, it makes more sense now that the upcoming expansion, Sunbreak, will also be coming to PC alongside the Switch release. Capcom confirms that all content from Sunbreak’s Switch release will also be available on PC, aside from Switch-specific features like amiibo integration.

Monster Hunter Rise will be out on PC (Steam) on January 13, 2022. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion will later release on PC and Switch sometime in summer (Q3) 2022.
