Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Expansion Announced, Coming Next Year

At the September 2021 Nintendo Direct, Capcom revealed an expansion for Monster Hunter: Rise.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is described to be a “massive expansion” and will include a new story, new quest rank plus new locales, monsters and actions to the unique action-RPG.

There’s not much that is explicitly revealed in the teaser trailer, though hardcore fans should spot something new and returning.

MH Rise is currently only on Switch, but a PC version is coming soon. Capcom also confirmed that Sunbreak will be on PC alongside the Switch release.

More information about Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be revealed as part of Capcom Online Program, the publisher’s Tokyo Game Show 2021 presentation, on September 30, 9 PM Malaysia Time (+8 GMT). The live stream will be available on Capcom Asia’s YouTube channel with English subtitles available.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be available in Summer (Q3) 2022 for the Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam).
