Monster Hunter Rise Has Sold 5 Million Units Worldwide

Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Rise, the latest Monster Hunter game out now on Switch (and coming to PC) has already sold 5 million units worldwide.

The number was reached within one week since its release.

The previous mainline game, Monster Hunter World, surpassed 5 million sales in three days and was released for two consoles: PS4 and Xbox One.

Having it being a Switch exclusive (for now) has not stop the sales for the unique brand of action RPG (and monster hunting) the series offer. And the sales number will only rise further up as we speak.

Monster Hunter Rise was developed using the RE Engine this time, and has introduced a number of tweaks to make it the most accessible entry of the series. The game also has a lot more verticality thanks to the Wirebug tool that lets players traverse the tall areas.

Plus, you now have a cute dog as a partner alongside your usual cute cat companion. What’s not to love?
