Minecraft Dungeons Out Now On Consoles And PC

Minecraft Dungeons is out now. The spin-off takes Mojang’s building and survival sim turns into Diablo-like dungeon crawler, but fun for the whole family.

The game will soon be getting a DLC. And like Minecraft, Minecraft Dungeons will be getting cross-play, coming in a future free update, according to the game’s FAQ.

Up to four players, local or online, can team up in this dungeon crawler, gathering loot and battling mobs to take down the evil… Arch-Illager. Don’t worry, it’s a Minecraft thing.

UK-based publisher and developer Double Eleven co-developed the game, together with Mojang. They are responsible for the console releases as well as handling the online and multiplayer systems.

“We are happy to witness the completion of Minecraft Dungeons and honoured to have had a part in creating a game from one of the most popular franchises in the world,” said Lee Hutchinson, founder and CEO of Double Eleven.

Double Eleven now has a studio in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. There are job opportunities still available which can be found here. You can read on our interview with Double Eleven’s COO Mark South, where he talks about combatting crunch and building a good culture in a game developer studio.

Minecraft Dungeons is out now on PS4, PC (Windows Store), Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It’s also available as part of Xbox Game Pass.
