Metroid Dread Has Been Announced For The Switch, Coming 8 October

Nintendo has announced the latest entry into their Metroid series but it isn’t the anticipated Prime 4 but rather a sequel to the series original 2D days. This is Metroid Dread.

The game is set after the events of Metroid Fusion, and will act as an conclusion of this story arc that started way back during the first Metroid in 1986.

This will tie Samus fans up until we get more info for Metroid Prime 4, but for now, Metroid Dread will launch on October 6 for the Nintendo Switch.
