Mech-Based Farming Game Lightyear Frontier Delayed Indefinitely

Lightyear Frontier, the mech-based farming game by developers Frame Break, announced that the Early Access launch has been delayed.

The game, first revealed on Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase last year, was expected to launch in Early Access this Spring.

“Video game development is tricky and while we can’t commit to a launch window right now, we’ll communicate a new one as soon as we can,” the statement posted on Twitter reads.

Lightyear Frontier has you build a homestead and farm on a faraway planet. But your main tools such agriculture-based activities is a customisable mech.

2023 so far has been shaping up to be the year of mech games. Phantom Brigade is out now for strategy enthusiasts (and video editors), and arguably the biggest mech game series, Armored Core, is making its long-awaited comeback this year. It’s a game the Lightyear Frontier account (or at least the person running the account) is excited to see coming out. It would be cool to see Lightyear Frontier can still make it out to release in some form this year, but it’s better for the developers to take the time they needed.
