Phantom Brigade, by indie developer Brace Yourself Games, has now left Early Access. The full release on February 28 was after its Early Access period, which launched in November 2020, previously only on Epic Games Store.
In Phantom Brigade, you control a small squad of mech pilots that are fighting to retake their homeland.
The twist is that game plays both like a real-time strategy and a turn-based tactics game, at the same time. There’s a timeline system that looks a lot like a video editing timeline where you can see and predict actions of the future. And using this power of precognition will be the key to you winning the battle, and the war.
Also, there’s a pretty extensive mech customisation option, like any good mech games should.
Phantom Brigade’s 1.0 release also comes with some bug fixes, balance changes and new features. The patch notes can be found here.
Brace Yourself Games, mostly known for their hit rhythm game roguelike Crypt Of The Necrodancer, also recently released their other Early Access game Industries Of Titan last month.
Phantom Brigade is now available on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
