Ahead of its launch on December 5, NetEase Games drop the launch trailer for the upcoming hero-shooter Marvel Rivals.
The new trailer gives a glimpse of the launch roster, its eye-catching art-style and a theme song, “Rivals ‘Til The End” as performed by Chrissy Costanza. Costanza is the frontwoman for the band Against The Current and is the voice behind several songs from League Of Legends.
The trailer also gave a glimpse of a newly-announced heroes: Squirrel Girl, Black Widow, Cloak & Dagger, Iron Fist and Wolverine.
Marvel Rivals is described as a “6V6 Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter”, which is a long way to describe “Overwatch from 2016 but with Marvel characters”, or succinctly, a hero shooter.
Marvel Rivals have been gaining traction though. Impressions from beta tests seems to indicate players having a positive experience with this new free-to-play hero-shooter. NetEase Games promises that all heroes will be free.
Marvel Rivals is set to launch on December 6, 8 AM Malaysian Time (+8 GMT), with pre-loads being offered on Steam starting December 4.
Early December looks to be busy week for free-to-play game launches, with Infinity Nikki and Path Of Exile 2 launching the same week as Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals launches on December 6 on PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), and Xbox Series X|S.
