It’s so odd to not see the yearly Lego games (which sometimes appear twice in one year) by TT Games, which goes to show how big the upcoming Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is.
And at the Gamescom 2021 Opening Night Live broadcast, a new trailer appeared showing the breadth of gameplay you can expect from this Lego game, now featuring an over-the-shoulder camera.
Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga spans all the nine Star Wars films based on the Skywalker saga, which includes the original trilogy (Episode IV-VI), the prequel trilogy (Episode I-III) and the new trilogy (Episode VII-IX).
While TT Games have featured the first seven movies in previous games, this is a completely new game (not a remake) built from the ground-up, but should feature the same Lego humour.
(But is it still Lego humour if the characters can talk and not have to resort to some weird pantomime to deliver some of the movie’s best scenes?)
Expect a ridiculous amount of playable characters and controllable vehicles.
Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga releases in Spring (Q2) 2022 for the PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
