Innistrad: Midnight Hunt Set For Magic: The Gathering Releasing September 24

Wizards Of The Coast announced Innistrad: Midnight Hunt, a new set for the trading card game Magic: The Gathering, which will be arriving soon.

This set brings back the gothic world of Innistrad and introduces new werewolves. And as you can expect, the artwork from these new cards evoke this horror theme, showcasing how humans try to survive against the many supernatural threats.

Story-wise, Midnight Hunt focuses on the werewolf Planeswalker Arlinn Kord as they search for the elusive Moonsilver Key to protect the humans in Innistrad.

Gameplay-wise, Midnight Hunt brings 19 new werewolf double-faced cards (DFC) that have alternate forms once the full moon arrives. Nightbound and Daybound cards let you change which side of the DFC you can access.

Flashback, a fan-favourite graveyard ability to bring back the dead introduced in the original Magic: The Gathering’s Innistrad set from 2011, is, well, brought back from the dead for Midnight Hunt.

There are also new card variants which include Eternal Night Legends and Land Cards now in spooky (but incredibly beautiful) black-and-white colours. There are also Halloween, folk-inspired Equinox cards.

Midnight Hunt will be available on September 24 in Draft Boosters, Set Boosters and Collector Boosters, including the Midnight Hunt Bundle and two Commander decks.

Midnight Hunt cards will also be added to Magic: The Gathering Arena, the video game version of MTG, as well.
