Indie game publisher Akupara Games will be celebrating its 10th year anniversary by having its first-ever livestream showcase.
Dubbed Akupara Direct, this half-hour presentation, which the publisher intends to turn it as an annual thing, will feature “multiple world premiers” as well as release dates for previously announced titles. There’s a chance we will know when Airframe Ultra, the PS1-looking game about hoverbike racing and combat, will be out.
The inaugural Akupara Direct goes live on September 6 on the publisher’s Twitch and YouTube pages, though no exact timing has been revealed yet (it’s likely on September 7 for us in Southeast Asia, considering Akupara Games is based in Los Angeles, USA, which is on Pacific Time).
After the Akupara Direct, there will be a “full day live programming, with developer play sessions, AMAs, and community segments running through the afternoon.”
The new art celebrating Akupara Games’ 10 year anniversary features a few familiar faces, including an Airframe Ultra rider and one of the trainers from the recently released, made-in-Indonesia deckbuilder Montabi.
It’s nice to see a different indie publisher looking to make their own annual showcase. The gaming world is less fun without fellow indie publisher Devolver Digital’s yearly antics which stopped after 2024.
