Illegear Unveils Their First Customisable Desktop And It Looks Ridiculous

Ridiculous, in a good way. Malaysia-based custom hardware manufacturer Illegear has branched out from their usual custom gaming laptop offerings with their first customisable desktop- the Troika. As the name implies, the desktop has a three chamber setup each housing specific compartments. The top part is the home of the GPU with options to add in 2.5″ HDDs, and the other two houses the system components- mini-ITX motherboard, CPU and RAM- with the other houses all additional storage options and the PSU.

The Troika is not just for looks either. The housing material is made with 2mm thick aluminium, and  sports liquid cooling. On the specs side, the cheapest configuration starts with a 7th-gen Kaby Lake Intel i5-7400 and could go all the way to an i7-7700K (with support for AMD’s new Ryzen chips coming soon). For the GPU, a GeForce GTX1060 with 6GB GDDR5 card is the lowest offer, with the top offer being a GTX1080 Ti with a whopping 11GB GDDR5X.

The most basic Troika config includes an Intel Core i5-7400 processor and Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 AMP SE 6GB GDDR5, Windows 10 Home Single Language, 8GB CRUCIAL DDR4 2400MHz RAM, 120GB SATA SSD, 1TB 3.5” TOSHIBA HDD and a 8265 2×2 Wireless-AC by default. The tempered glass on the rig (as seen in the header above) is an extra RM399 from the base config.

A lot of the specs can be configured to suit your taste. You can check out all the customisation options (and estimated price) over at Illegear’s official website here.
