Hot Wheels Unleashed Customisation Trailer Teases Too Little Of The Livery Editor

Arcade racer Hot Wheels Unleashed just got a new trailer to highlight the customisation options that you have.

But running at only a minute long it’s such a small tease.

You get to see the cars (both original Hot Wheels cars and licensed cars from real car manufacturers) sporting custom paint jobs, and a reminder that you can share your custom livery online.

It’s a missed opportunity to not show the Livery Editor itself, UI and all, which you can apply colours and shapes to make your own car design. At least we do get to see that wheels, rims and windows can also change colours.

You can also customise the basement with different furniture and accessories. The basement is one of the many environments you get to build tracks on, and the customisation of the room will reflect on the tracks.

In other news, developers Milestone also shared the post-launch roadmap, which will include single DLCs (some cars will be free DLC), expansion packs and seasonal content.

More licensed cars and IPs will be featured in the future which includes more real car brands (Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, McLaren) and other media (Street Fighter, Superman, Wonder Woman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, He-Man, Barbie, Batman).

Hot Wheels Unleashed will be unleashed into stores on September 30 for PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
