Borderlands 3 is coming out real soon and now 2K and Gearbox Software have announced the PC specs required to play the long-awaited looter-shooter.
Here are the minimum PC specs required to run Borderlands 3 at 1080p::
- OS: Windows 7/8/10 (latest service pack)
- CPU: AMD FX-8350, Intel Core i5-3570
- GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7970, Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 2GB
- Memory: 6GB RAM
- Storage: 75 GB
Here are the recommended PC specs, for 1440p gaming:
- OS: Windows 7/8/10 (latest service pack)
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600, Intel Core i7-4770
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 590, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Storage: 75 GB

Borderlands 3 is partnered with AMD, so there are few graphical features exclusive to those running on AMD GPUs. This includes the following:
- Asynchronous Compute- Radeon GPUs multi-task commands, reducing bottlenecks and better framerates
- AMD FidelityFX – AMD’s proprietary software-side anti-aliasing tech
- FreeSync 2 HDR
- Multithreading of Command Buffers- For AMD Ryzen CPUs, improves the rate of commands sent to Radeon GPUs
If you have a modern laptop or PC, Borderlands 3 can definitely run on it.
The blog post on Borderlands’ official site also lists out all the PC settings available in the options menu. Good news: there is an FOV slider for normal and in-vehicle, plus resolution scaling and uncapped FPS- with the ability to cap it should you require it.
Borderlands 3 will be out on September 13th for the PS4, PC (Epic Games Store) and Xbox One.
