Nintendo has announced that Super Smash Bros. is coming to the Switch, but until now we have no idea what it is. Is it a port of the latest Smash (official name Super Smash Bros. For Wii U, also known as Smash 4) with some new content or totally new Smash game?
We will know for sure when E3 arrives this June as Nintendo is again will have a tournament to showcase its latest competitive games. The Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 will be the first time we see this new Smash game in action, and will feature 8 pro players, a mix of pro Melee and Smash 4 players.

The mix of Smash 4 and Melee pros is an interesting choice. The gameplay of Melee and the recent Smash is so disparage that both games have its own community running in tandem. It is highly doubted that the new Smash will unify the communities, but it’s nice that Nintendo is still acknowledging both games’ top players.
The Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 will be held on June 12th at E3.
