Lego is celebrating its 25th anniversary the construction brick toy company has released their first-ever video game in a big way.
The first-ever Lego game, Lego Fun To Build, was an educational game released in Japan in December 1995. And 25 years since then, Lego has continued to offer experiences in video game form- either through full-fledged video games (the next TT Games Lego Game, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, is coming out next year) to its more humble Flash games in the late-90’s/early ’00s.

Anyway, Lego has revealed the top 5 best-selling Lego video games in the span of 25 years. They are, in no particular order:
- Lego Marvel Super Heroes
- Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4
- Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
- Lego Batman: The Video Game
- Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes
It looks like Lego games that pairs itself with another license property sells well.
Alongside that, the Lego Group announced that a new 10-episode podcast series, ‘Bits N’ Bricks, dedicated to telling the story of Lego video games.
The podcast, hosted by Brian Crecente and Ethan Vincent, will go into detail of the early talks involved a Lego Minecraft video game that never happened in its first episode. There’s also a dedicated episode on the cult-hit Lego Island.
