Granblue Fantasy Versus Out Now In Asia (And Also In English)

Granblue Fantasy Versus is the next fighting game from Arc System Works based on the hit gacha game Granblue Fantasy. And for Asia, it’s out today.

In Asia, Granblue Fantasy Versus is published by Sega, which has a history of only releasing Chinese versions ahead of English releases (like the upcoming Persona 5 Royal).

But sometimes, you get the English version together with Chinese and other languages ahead of releases in the west. Like Yakuza 6.

This is one of those games. It’s out today, February 6th, in Asia. The version includes English language. Meanwhile, the North America release is on March 3rd, published by XSEED Games.

Granblue Fantasy Versus is designed to be a more approachable fighting game, with a lot of RPG elements lifted from the source material. You get special abilities with cooldowns, for example. There is also an RPG mode, essentially a story mode, as well. The game is also will be part of EVO 2020’s main stage games, so it’s still one competitive fighter, hopefully.

The game is out now on PS4. It’s available on PS Store Asia for RM228.
