Yakuza 6’s Delay Only For US And Europe, English Version Still Set For Release In Asia March 20th

Nani?

Yakuza 6: The Song Of Life received an unfortunate delay, pushing the game from March 20th to April 17th. However, we only recently learned that this only applies to US and Europe regions only.

Physical copies of the English version of Yakuza 6 is still on track for release on March 20th in Asia. As indicated by many local retailers, the final chapter of old yakuza man Kazuma Kiryu did not get pushed back to the delay as we reported earlier.

This was also confirmed by Play-Asia, a storefront popular for importing Asian region games to the rest of the world.

This should explain why Yakuza 6 reviews are already up in various sites with access to review copies, it’s to coincide the original release date, which Asia is still sticking to.

However, the digital version of the game is not available for pre-order from Playstation Store Asia. We will update back should the game is up on the store after the game is officially released.

The Yakuza 6 demo never appeared for Asia, though the demo for other regions had issues where players would actually get to play the full game- the demo is essentially a trial version of the game with a hard progression lock, which explained the huge 30GB+ size. The demo has since been taken down.

UPDATE 20/3/18: Yakuza 6 in English is now available in Asia via PS Store Asia as well as local retailers. The demo version, which has been reinstated in US and Europe, is still not available in Asia.
