Go Green And See The World Be A Better Place In The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack

The Sims 4 is getting another expansion pack, the ninth, to be exact. Titled Eco Lifestyle, the expansion pack brings a new neighbourhood, Evergreen Harbor, that will change over time based on environmental impacts. It can look beautiful if everyone is doing their part on being eco-friendly, else it can be filled with junk and smog.

New Buy/Build mode items can now make your bills lower like solar panels, wind turbines, and dew collectors. You can also add a living rooftop, and decorate your home with sustainably made furniture, or items made out of recycled junk.

Fans of collecting things can now have Sims go dumpster diving for crafting material, and new collectables to find around the neighbourhood. You can have Sims join the Freelance Crafter career that makes use of the new materials. Another career option is the Civil Designer.

Another new feature coming is community spaces, where Sims can vote and decide what it will be used for. It can be vertical gardens, a community maker space, use if for performance art or just.. leave it as wasted space, if no one can agree on anything. Sims can also vote for the Neighbourhood Action Plan that encourages all Sims in the neighbourhood on a shared initiative.

This sounds like a breath of fresh air- the new content here doesn’t feel like a rehash from previous games, and should pair well with the previous Tiny Living Stuff Pack with the go-green additions.

The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack will be out on June 5th for the PS4, PC/Mac (Origin) and Xbox One.
