GigaBash Godzilla: Nemesis DLC Adds Two Legendary Kaijus To The Roster

Kaiju brawler game GigaBash is getting bigger with the release of its third paid DLC pack, Godzilla: Nemesis.

Godzilla: Nemesis adds two more playable characters, both being adversaries to Godzilla, King Ghidorah and Hedorah. Both characters have unique playstyles based on Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991) and Godzilla vs. Hedorah (1971) respectively.

King Ghidorah may be unknowingly familiar to non-kaiju fans. The three-headed creature has been around social media as a meme template, and the illest villain himself have used a similar-sounding but legally distinct name as one of his many rap personas.

Hedorah, however, is more of a deep cut. And it goes to show how developer Passion Republic Games know their subject matter and are catering to its hardcore fans.

“Bringing King Ghidorah and Hedorah into our game was a challenge. King Ghidorah’s multiple heads and tails posed a unique challenge, while Hedorah’s lesser-known status in the gaming world made it a special addition for die-hard fans,” said Sern, producer of GigaBash. “Despite the hurdles, the excitement from our community motivated us to bring these iconic kaijus to life. We hope fans will be pleasantly surprised by this release.”

The Godzilla: Nemesis DLC pack is smaller compared to the previous DLC packs, thus it is priced slightly cheaper. The Godzilla and Ultraman DLC packs added four characters.

Still, it’s cool to see this little indie game made in Malaysia continues to be supported and has found its niche of fanbase that are supporting this fighting game inspired by Smash Bros., Power Stone and War Of The Monsters.

The Godzilla: Nemesis DLC pack for GigaBash is out now. GigaBash is available on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. Check out our review of the game here.
