Ghostwire: Tokyo, last year’s PS5 console exclusive from Bethesda and Tango Gameworks, now has a date for its release on Xbox Series consoles, as well as joining Xbox Game Pass.
It’s coming this April alongside the Spider’s Thread update, which will add “haunting new areas, deeper combat, and a challenging new game mode”.
Ghostwire: Tokyo, alongside Deathloop, were two of the games by Bethesda that were PS5 console exclusives prior to the publisher being acquired by Xbox. Deathloop also immediately entered Game Pass when the Xbox version launched, which also included a free content update.
The expected one-year wait for Ghostwire: Tokyo to be bound for Xbox- the game originally released in late March. But given there’s a big survival horror title occupying that week, it’s likely for the better that Bethesda is giving the Xbox release, as well as the free content update, a breather by releasing them later in April.
Ghostwire: Tokyo will be available on Xbox Series X|S on April 12. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass (and presumably PC Game Pass as well). The Spider’s Thread content update will also be released on the same date, available on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S.
