At E3 2018, For Honor’s new update was revealed. The Marching Fire Update will be a free update to all players which will add a brand new faction into the three-way war.
The Wu Lin, inspired by medieval Chinese will bring four new characters to play as and fight against and will definitely shift the meta-game dynamic of the factions which has been going four six seasons.
In addition, there will be a new 4V4 mode, Breach, where attackers have to breach a castle then kill the Lord, a strong NPC and defenders must stop the assault by destroying the battering rams or kill enough of the attackers.
There will be another new mode for 1 player and 2-player co-op to be revealed soon.
Take a look at this video snippet with Game Director Roman Campos-Oriola, showcasing the four new heroes, the new mode and a glimpse of a graphical overhaul that improves textures, lighting and the skybox.
For Honor’s Marching Fire comes in paid DLC and a free update. The free update will include three new Breach maps and the graphical updates while the DLC will allow you access to the Wu Lin faction characters early for an exclusive period plus the other unannounced mode.
After the exclusivity period ends, everyone can buy the new characters using the in-game currency Steel.
The update will arrive on October 16 for the PS4, PC and Xbox One.
