PlayStation unceremoniously announced a new State Of Play broadcast, the first for 2025, will go live tomorrow.
The February 2025 State Of Play broadcast goes live on February 13, 6 AM Malaysia Time (+8 GMT).
This will be a 40-minute livestream, quite girthy for a State Of Play broadcast. And with how little we know of PlayStation’s current slate of upcoming releases, we should expect that to be rectified.
Currently, we know two PlayStation Studios is set for release sometime this year: Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding 2 and Sucker Punch’s Ghost Of Yotei.
PlayStation had a stronger start of the year in 2024 by marketing third-party games exclusive to PS5 at the time of release (Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Rise Of The Ronin, Stellar Blade) with two back-to-back State Of Plays in three months. It’s been quiet in the PlayStation front right up until now in 2025, so we should expect big news.
Meanwhile, Xbox has fired their opening salvo of livestreams with their now-annual Developer Direct stream last January. Nintendo will be revealing details of its upcoming new console Switch 2 in a Nintendo Direct in April.
