Final Fantasy VII, IX, X, X-2 and XII Coming To Nintendo Switch

A slew of Final Fantasy games will be coming to Nintendo Switch. The latest Nintendo Direct has revealed that several main numbered entries as well as its spin-offs will be available soon.

The main highlight is Final Fantasy VII, IX, X and X-2 (via its recent HD remaster) and XII (via Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age) will be available on Switch next year. Final Fantasy VIII is curiously missing. It has yet to receive a current console release. The latest one is a PC port on Steam from 5 years ago. So that may explain something is still in the works.

Nevertheless, it’s still a great announcement for Switch owners. Now you can play many of these classic titles on the go. All of these will be out sometime next year.

Outside of that, Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition (out now) and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered (out in 2019) will be on the Switch. World Of Final Fantasy Maxima (November 6th), Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon Everybuddy (Winter) will have extra content not seen in its original release.
