Are you okay, fighting game fans? Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves is out now. The latest entry to SNK’s Fatal Fury series of fighting games is out now.
It has been 26 years since Garou: Mark Of The Wolves, the last entry, was released, and now the fighters in South Town, including the fighting game household names like Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui, series mainstays like Rock Howard, new South Town brawlers with the likes of Preecha and two surprise guest characters who are also real people: Cristiano Ronaldo and Salvatore Ganacci.
(The FGC were less than excited, to say the least, with the two guest characters when they were announced, but as noted by our friends at Nmia Gaming, reception has been reversed in record time—at least for one of the two guests—as folks start seeing the tracksuit-laden DJ Salvatore Ganacci actually is a fan of SNK games, reaching out to the community including content Maximilian Dood and have done cool publicity stunts including repping the game at Wrestlemania 41.)

Alongside the launch, SNK announced the SNK World Championship 2025, a tournament circuit consists of SNK fighting games including The King Of Fighters XV, Samurai Shodown and new to this year, Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves.
For the Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves tournament, the prize pool is a total of $2.5 million USD, with the winner to take home the grand prize of $1.5 million.

And yes, the two-lane system where characters can weave back and forth between two horizontal plane in this 2D fighting game, is also back.
More casual players can also enjoy the new Fatal Fury with a simpler Smart Style controls where special moves are done via tilts (one direction input plus a button press). Veterans can still play like how they like it, Arcade Style.
The game also includes a full-blown single-player RPG, online play (with rollback netcode of course and cross-play), AI ghost that learns from how you play (just like Tekken 8 and Street Fighter 6), and a full-blown colour edit mode to create your own custom palette for characters.
Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves is out now on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X|S.
