Far Cry 5’s season pass contains some wacky extra DLCs, but to sweeten the deal further, it will also include Far Cry 3.
Dubbed Far Cry 3: Classic Edition, this is the same 2012 FPS that finally cemented the series. It will make its current generation consoles debut as part of Far Cry 5’s Season Pass. It’s a port, but a port of a good game. Though it will only include the single-player campaign, the co-op multiplayer mode, which featured its own campaign and story, is left out of the Classic Edition.
It’s a little bit insane to include an older game from the series as part of the season pass. But if you don’t mind revisiting Rook Island and learn the definition of insanity again, it’s a good deal, and rather thematic.
Far Cry 3: Classic Edition will also be available as a standalone purchase four weeks after it’s live for Season Pass holders.
Interestingly, the PC version will also include the original Far Cry 3 release as well should you buy the season pass there.
Far Cry 5 will be out on March 27th for the PS4, PC and Xbox One, with Far Cry 3: Classic Edition coming sometime this summer for the PS4 and Xbox One.
